A scribe and minister. He is a small, white-haired man. He is very friendly and compassionate. He takes a liking to Leesil and mentors him in academics. He uses his large country estate as a haven for people displaced by Lord Darmouth's wars. He writes a letter to his sister, telling her of his tiring of war and wanting change to come about. This letter is used as evidence of treason and he is arrested and hanged.
